styles

choose the style that suits you best. you must have cookies enabled for your browser to remember your chosen style. you can also select styles from your browser’s “view” menu (if you are not using IE). If you are using IE, you might want to get firefox. IE is so not standards compliant that it will happily break most of these designs. At some point I’ll get around to marking the IE-friendly styles.

the real thing:

for fun (and dangerous):

  • block destroyer: interactive but not very useful. WARNING: HARD TO NAVIGATE.
  • commandline: great for programmers used to commandline (based on Emacs). WARNING: HARD TO NAVIGATE.
  • on the bandwagon (c): i get tired of this standard look that everyone is using “kit and caboodle” these days. yes, there are nice things about it, but people should add some originality to their designs. i stole this one even more “kit and caboodle” than most people would dare. WARNING: STATUS QUO.

this site

this site is built entirely on valid XHTML and CSS. to summarize what that means for you:

  • you can choose your favorite style out of all the ones we have designed.
  • you can adjust your text size any way you want (in your browser’s view menu or preferences) without making our layout unreadable.
  • it is accessible to and easily read by someone using a browser reader.
  • it is accessible to and easily read by someone without image and/or CSS capabilities.
  • it is built to be forward-compatible with your next browser upgrade and the ones after that.
  • you can even write your own user style sheet if you have a browser that allows it.
  • if you are using IE6, your browser is not standards compliant and will mangle our site. get firefox.

games

We have a game. it’s a web version of the Tigris and Euphrates board game. you can find it at: http://tne.meyerbros.org.
